🚨 Community Safety Message – Burglary Prevention

Dear resident

We have seen a recent increase in burglary offences in the Broadfield area. 

Please take a few simple steps to help protect your home and reduce the risk of becoming a target.

Target Hardening Advice:

🔒 Lock doors and windows – Even when you are at home or stepping out briefly.

🔑 Keep keys out of sight – Do not leave keys near doors, letterboxes, or windows.

💡 Use lighting and timers – Outdoor lights or indoor timers can make your home look occupied.

📦 Secure outbuildings – Lock sheds and garages and secure valuable tools or bikes.

🚗 Vehicle security – Remove valuables from vehicles and ensure they are locked.

📷 Consider CCTV or doorbell cameras where possible.

🤝 Look out for neighbours – Report suspicious behaviour in the area.

If you see suspicious activity, please report it to police via the non-emergency number 101 or 999 in an emergency.
